Sell us your books! We currently buy books every weekday during open hours, no appointment needed. We will make an offer on books that are in good condition and have resale value. At this time, we will not be accepting any books on weekends.
How we buy:
You may bring up to 2 boxes or bags per day. We'll have you fill out a form at the front counter, and you can drop off your books while we evaluate them. Evaluation time can vary depending on staff availability, typically from 30 minutes up to 24 hours. We may not purchase all of your books. For books we don't buy, we may offer you the option to donate them or ask that you take them back to find another home.
Once our buy is completed, you have 24 hours to come back, sign off, collect your payment, and pick up any books that we weren't able to purchase. If you don’t return within 24 hours of being contacted, the books will be considered abandoned and donated, and no payment will be made, so please plan accordingly.
What we buy:
We are interested in books that hold resale value, which are typically bestsellers published in the last 10 years, books that are considered classics, and books that are in a like-new or gently used condition.
Children's books can be tricky. Because of their low retail price, they don't hold much resale value. We can definitely still take a look at them, though we may offer you the option to donate them instead in exchange for a 10% off coupon card.
What we don't buy:
We cannot accept books that are dirty, water damaged, moldy, have odors or stains, have heavily damaged spines or covers, or are covered in pet hair or insects.
The same rule applies to the boxes or bags you bring your books in. We will not go through any box or bag that is dirty, covered in hair or insects, or has an odor.
We are not interested in purchasing mass market paperbacks (we may potentially accept a donation if they're in good condition).
Pricing:
We offer cash for books we want to buy and a 10% off coupon for books we accept as a donation. The price we offer is based on the resale value of your books. We cannot provide estimates over the phone or by email; we must see the books in person.
Donations
If you are looking to donate books without receiving payment, we will accept them at our discretion. You can bring them in during our regular buyback hours (weekdays during open hours) for us to evaluate. If we accept a donation of 5 or more books, we will give you a 10% off coupon card.
